This 1887 photo below was shared with me by someone who found it with other old Chicago photos she was going through for friends. An ancestor in their family may have gone to school with Edith.

Sepia toned photo of a teenage girl with short hair or hair pulled back to appear short, she has thin, wire framed glasses and is in a slight profile looking off to the side, "Edith Granger" is handwritten at the bottom above name and address for the the photo studio Gehrig.

A photo of Edith from 1887, she would have been around 18 and this may have been her senior photo. The address was for photographer Joseph W. Gehrig, 337 West Madison St,. Chicago, IL

Back of a photo, handwritten "Class of 1887 Edith Granger." The photography studio "Gehrig" logo is printed and states "Gold Medal Awarded."

The back of the photo lists Edith as "Class of June 1887."

News or magazine print that has a sepia tone. It appears to be an add with the image of a woman and a man standing on the top of a hill, the man, wearing a hat, has his arm around the woman with the other arm, is pointing towards the horizon. Clouds above hills in the distance are visible. Above the couple are the words "The sooner (italicized and underlined) you plan you future...the better (italicized and underlined) your future will be." There is some handwriting at the bottom of the page that appears to be some names.

Image of what was wrapped around the photos and lists names of other people depicted in the collected photos.
