Chicago, Illinois, City Directory, 1897

The "R" initial seems to be a mistake. Edith is listed with an occupation as a bookkeeper (which should be at A.C. McClurg) and her home address as 3812 W 61st.

Chicago, Illinois, City Directory, 1899

Edith is listed with an occupation as a clerk (which would be at A.C. McClurg or Harper & Bros.) and her home address as 3812 W 61st

The Chicago City Directory for 1900 (From the Newberry Library):

Miss Edith Granger is listed as a clerk (215 Wabash Ave) and her home listed as 3812 W 61 st.

A.C. McClurg & Co. is listed in the Chicago Business Directory at 215 to 221 Wabash Ave.

(The current house located at 3812 W 61st was built in 1938 so unfortunately, her former home is no longer standing.)

Listed under Academic Graduates:

Grangern Edith B.A. (Mrs. William Hawkes) Fulton, Sonoma co. Cal.

with A.C. McClurg & co. Chicago 93-05; m. 26 My 07

I have found discrepancies regarding the years Edith was with A.C. McClurg and it's probable that she was there until 1906.

Their marriage date was actually 26 May 1908.

Edith is listed in the Annual Register Alumnae Association of Smith College, 1908-1909. She is listed as:
